Registered No. HSE-49/2016 PART I EXTRAORDINARY No.74 AMARAVATI, THURSDAY , JANUARY 25, 2018 G.981 NOTIFICATIONS BY GOVERNMENT --x-- ENERGY, INFRASTRUCTURE & INVESTMENT DEPARTMENT (OP.A3) PROHIBITION OF STRIKES IN ALL THE SERVICES UNDER THE TRANSMISSION CORPORATION OF ANDHRA PRADESH LIMITED AND TWO DISTRIBUTION COMPANIES (APEPDCL & APSPDCL) FOR A PERIOD OF SIX (6) MONTHS WITH IMMEDIATE EFFECT. [G.O.Rt.No.16, Energy, Infrastructure & Investment (OP.A3), 22nd January, 2018.] NOTIFICATION Whereas, the Government have already been declared any service under the Transmission Corporation of Andhra Pradesh Limited and two distribution companies (APEPDCL & APSPDCL) as an essential service as defined in sub clause (v) of clause (a) of sub-section (1) of Section 2 of the Andhra Pradesh Essential Services Maintenance Act, 1971, (A. P. Act No. 20 of 1971); And whereas, the Government are satisfied that it is necessary and expedient to prohibit strikes in public interest, in any services under the Transmission Corporation of Andhra Pradesh Limited and two distribution Companies (APEPDCL & APSPDCL). Now, therefore, in exercise of the powers conferred by sub-sections (1) and (3) of Section 3 of the Andhra Pradesh Essential Services Maintenance Act, 1971 (A.P. Act 20 of 1971), the Government of Andhra Pradesh hereby prohibit strikes in all the services under the Transmission Corporation of Andhra Pradesh Limited and two Distribution Companies (APEPDCL & APSPDCL) in Andhra Pradesh for a period of six (6) months with immediate effect.
