(Metro Railway, Kolkata) NOTIFICATION Kolkata, the 4th July, 2022 S.O. 3090(E).—Whereas by notification of the Government of India, in the Ministry of Railways number S.O. 847(E). dated the 12th January’ 2022 issued under sub-section (1) of section 7 of the Metro Railway(Construction of works) Act, 1978 (33 of 1978), published in part-II, Section 3, sub-section (ii) of the Gazette of India, Extraordinary vide no. 818 dated 24th February’ 2022, the Central Government gave notice of its intention to acquire lands, buildings, streets, roads, passages or nallahs or the right of users or easement therein, specified in the Schedule appended to the said notification, for a public purpose for construction of underground Metro Railway located within the span of Metro Corridor from Mominpur (Ex.) to Esplanade Section of Joka- BBD Bag Metro Corridor. AND whereas, the Central Government on the report of the Competent Authority is satisfied that the lands, buildings, streets, roads, passages or nallahs or the right of users or easement therein, specified in the Schedule appended to the said notification, are required for the above said purpose. NOW, therefore, in exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (1) of Section 10 of the Metro Railway(Construction of Works) Act,1978, the Central Government do hereby acquires the lands, buildings, streets, roads, passages or nallahs or the right of users or easement therein, as specified in the Schedule appended to the said notification. The plan of the area specified in the Schedule which are acquired, is available for inspection in the office of the Competent Authority at 39/1, Rash Bihari Avenue, (1st Floor), Kolkata-700026.
