1. In exercise of power conferred under sub-section (4) of the Section 32 of Tamil Nadu Town and Country Planning
Act, 1971 (Tamil Nadu Act 35 of 1972) and exercise of powers confirmed by the G.O.Ms.No. 94, Housing and Urban
Development (4-1) Department dated 12.06.2009 which has been published in Tamil Nadu Government Gazette No. 27,
Part II—Section 2 dated 15.07.2009.
2. Land use zone conversion from Public and Semi Public use zone into Residential use zone ordered in
G.O.(2D)No.485 Housing and Urban Development [UD4(1)] Department dated 19.12.2024 subject to conditions
the following variation are made to the approved Master Plan of Coimbatore Local Planning Area under the said act
and published in the G.O.Ms.No. 661, Housing and Urban Development [UD4(1)] dated 12.10.1994 Notification
No II(2)/HOU/4377/94 at Page No 1078 of Part II—Section 2 of the Tamil Nadu Government Gazette dated 09.11.1994

In the Approved Coimbatore Master Plan, under the heading permitted land use in various survey numbers of
COIMBATORE Local Planning Area, under heading in Devasthana Perur Village, Page No: 332 the S.F.Nos: 208/1A2B,
208/1A3B, 208/1B the following entries should be made.
Under the heading “Residential land use” the expression S.F.No: 208/1A2B, 208/1A3B, 208/1B shall be added before

Koothanallur Local Planning Area under heading in Village Panditakkudi S.F.Nos.119 and 120 the following entries should
be made.
Under the heading Residential use zone the following S.F.Nos. 119Pt, 120Pt (i.e S.F.No.119/2, 120/3, 120/5,
and 120/6) shall be added before the S.F.No.177A.

2) Against the entry for the expression next to Agricultural use Zone –

In pursuance of the Hon’ble High court’s Official Memorandum cited above, it is hereby notified that all the Civil
and Sessions Courts in the District of Thanjavur will be closed for the VACATION AND HOLIDAYS during the year
2025 as detailed below.
1) The Principal District and Sessions Court, Thanjavur, II Additional District Court,
Thanjavur, III Additional District Court, Thanjavur @ Pattukkottai, Special District
Court, (MCOP Tribunal), Thanjavur and Additional District Court (FTC), Kumbakonam.
2) The courts of Principal Subordinate Judges and Principal Assistant Sessions Judges,
Additional Subordinate Judges and Additional Assistant Sessions Judges of Thanjavur
and Kumbakonam and Sub Judge and Assistant Sessions Judge, Pattukkottai and
Special Sub Judge, (MCOP Tribunal), Thanjavur.
3) The court of Principal District Munsif, Thanjavur, Additional District Munsif, Thanjavur,
Principal District Munsif, Kumbakonam, Additional District Munsif, Kumbakonam,
District Munsif Thiruvaiyaru and Pattukkottai and only in respect of Civil side of
District Munsif cum Judicial Magistrate, Papanasam, Orathanadu, Thiruvidaimaruthur
and Peravurani will observe the VACATION AND HOLIDAYS for the year 2025

Kumbakonam and the courts of Principal Subordinate Judges and Principal Assistant Sessions Judges, Additional
Subordinate Judges and Additional Assistant Sessions Judges, Thanjavur and Kumbakonam and the Special Sub
Judge (MCOP Tribunal), Thanjavur and Sub Judge and Assistant Sessions Judge, Pattukkottai and the courts of
Principal District Munsif, Thanjavur, Additional District Munsif, Thanjavur, District Munsif, Thiruvaiyaru and Pattukkottai,
Principal District Munsif, Kumbakonam, Additional District Munsif, Kumbakonam and only in respect of Civil side of
District Munsif cum Judicial Magistrate, Papanasam, Orathanadu, Thiruvidaimaruthur and Peravurani will observe the
following HOLIDAYS for the year 2025 as follows:
(a) All Sundays are Holidays for all the courts in Thanjavur District.
(b) The following 11 Saturdays are working days for all the Courts including Family Court functioning in
Thanjavur District:
04.01.2025, 01.02.2025, 01.03.2025, 05.04.2025, 21.06.2025, 19.07.2025, 02.08.2025, 20.09.2025,
25.10.2025, 01.11.2025 and 06.12.2025.
(c) Except the above Saturdays, all other Saturdays are holidays for all the Courts in Thanjavur District
except Family Court.
(d) The Family Court functioning in Thanjavur District shall work on 1st and 3rd Saturdays of every month
except those Saturdays which are declared as Public Holidays. All other Saturdays are declared as
holidays.

(5) The Office of the Official Receiver, Thanjavur, will remain open throughout the vacation.
(6) No Plaints, Appeals or petitions except application for grant of copies and for service and execution of
process will be received by the Courts during the vacation
(7) The Office of the Copyists and Process service Establishments will remain open throughout the Vacation,
but no arrest warrant will be executed during the vacation.
(8) The Office of the other departments will be closed. However, the following Arrangements will be made:-
(a) for furnishing copies.
(b) for servicing the process.
(c) for transmitting the records to the court for Appeals, etc.,
(d) for all administrative matters.
9) In view of the instructions contained i.e. Rule 162 of the Criminal Rules of Practice and Circular order and as
ordered High Court’s Official Memorandum in Roc.No. 112341-A/2024/C3, dated: 13.12.2024, Applications in urgent
criminal matters could be made to the High Court of Judicature, Madras, if no vacation, Sessions Judges is appointed
or in the absence of the vacation Sessions Judge for Thanjavur District during the above adjournments.
10) Under section 30 of the Tamil Nadu Civil Courts Act, as amended by section 4 of the Tamil Nadu Act 17 of
1958 if a Vacation civil Judge is appointed to Thanjavur District, Suits, Appeals and other proceedings of the urgent
nature will be received and disposed by him in terms and rules that may be.

Conferment of Magisterial Powers on Certain Revenue Officials

No. 9/2025—In exercise of the powers conferred under Section 11 of the Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita, 2023
(Act No.46 of 2023), the High Court hereby appoints the following 8 Deputy Tahsildars in Salem District as Special
Judicial Magistrates, to undergo Magisterial Training for a period of 120 days, from the date of assumption of charge
and confers upon them the ordinary powers conferable under this Code on a Judicial Magistrate to try such cases
which were earlier triable and dealt with by an erstwhile Judicial Second Class Magistrate.
