Guidelines for Testing Parameters to Enhance Human Safety of Electric Vehicles, Incentivised Under (I) Production Linked Incentive (Pli) Scheme for Automobiles and Auto Components (Ii) Fame Ii Scheme of Ministry of Heavy Industries (Mhi)

**Summary:** This Office Memorandum, F. No. 01022022AEI 25055, issued by the Ministry of Heavy Industries, Government of India, dated September 6, 2023, outlines mandatory testing parameters to enhance the safety of electric vehicles (EVs) incentivized under the Production Linked Incentive (PLI) scheme for Automobiles and Auto Components and the FAME II scheme. Effective October 1, 2023, compliance with amendment 3 to AIS 156 and AIS 038 Rev2 standards notified under the Central Motor Vehicles Rules (CMVR) by the Ministry of Road Transport and Highways (MoRTH) is mandatory for claiming incentive payouts under both the PLI and FAME II schemes.
