Ms. No. 15, Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises [EI(1)], 4th April, 2013, Panguni 22, Nandhana, Thiruvalluvar Aandu-2044.] No. SRO B-17/2013.—In exercise of the powers conferred by the proviso to Article 309 of the Constitution of India, the Governor of Tamil Nadu hereby makes the following amendments to the Rules published with the Industries Department Notification No. SRO. B-455/79, dated the 3rd September 1979 at pages 556-558 of Part III—Section 1(b) of the Tamil Nadu Government Gazette, dated the 10th October 1979, as subsequently amended. 2. Amendments hereby made shall come into force on the 4th April of 2013. AMENDMENTS 1. In the said Rules,— 2. (1) in rule 3, for sub-rule (a), the following sub-rule shall be substituted namely:— “(a) By recruitment by transfer from the holders of the post of Inspector (Salt) in the Tamil Nadu Industries Sub-ordinate Service; or”; (2) in rule 4, in the Table, in item (a) in column (1) for the expression “Junior Analytical Chemists in Tamil Nadu Industries Sub-ordinate Service and by transfer from the posts of Senior Chemists in Category 3 of the Tamil Nadu Industries Service” the expression “Inspector (Salt) in the Tamil Nadu Industries Sub-ordinate Service” shall be substituted and in the corresponding entries in column (2) thereof for the expression “(ii) must have served as a Junior Analytical Chemist or Assistant Chemist for a period of three years”, the expression “(ii) must have served as Inspector (Salt) in the Tamil Nadu Industries Sub-ordinate Service for a period of not less than ten years” shall be substituted. (3) after rule 5, the following rules are added, namely:- “6. Probation.—Every person appointed to the post shall from the date on which he joins duty, shall be on probation for a total period of two years on duty within a continuous period of three years. 7. Tests.—A probationer in the category of Assistant Director (Salt) shall within the period of his probation, pass the following Tests:- (i) Tamil Nadu Government Office Manual; (ii) Account Test for Executive Officers (or) (iii) Account Test for Subordinate Officers, Part-I. 8. Saving.—Nothing contained in these rules shall adversely affect the interests of persons already holding the post of Assistant Director (Salt) on the 4th April of 2013”. K.
