The rules hereby made shall be deemed to have come into force from the 30th April 2010. Rules 1. These rules may be called as the Special Rules for the Tamil Nadu Food Safety Subordinate Service. 2. The rules hereby made shall be deemed to have come into force with effect from 22nd December 2011. 2. (2) Laboratory Technician, by promotion from the post of Not less than three years experience in Grade-I Laboratory Technician, Grade-II the post of Laboratory Technician Grade-II (3) Laboratory Technician by direct recruitment Must possess Bachelor's degree in Grade-II Chemistry or Biochemistry from a University recognized by the University Grants Commission; and Diploma in Medical Laboratory Technician course from Government Recognized Institution. (4) Electrician by direct recruitment (i) Pass in SSLC; (ii) Pass in Two years Electrician course in any of the Industrial Training Institute in the State; and (iii) Experience as an Electrician for a period not less than one year. 6. Reservation of Appointment.-The Rule relating to reservation of appointments (General Rule 22) shall apply for appointment to the posts by direct recruitment.Oct. 10, 2018] TAMIL NADU GOVERNMENT GAZETTE 133 7. Probation.-Every person appointed to the posts by direct recruitment shall, from the date on which he joins duty, be on probation for a total period of two years on duty within a continuous period of three years. 8. Test.- Every person appointed to the post of Junior Analyst shall pass the Account test for Subordinate Officers, Parts I and II within the period of his probation. 9. Preparation of annual list of approved candidates and crucial date.- For the purpose of preparation of annual list of approved candidates for appointment to the posts by direct recruitment or by promotion, on which the candidate should be qualified shall be the 15th February of every year. 10. The Rules hereby made shall be deemed to have come into force on and from 22nd December 2011. Rules The General Rules for the Tamil Nadu State and Subordinate Service and the Special Rules applicable to the holders of the permanent posts in the Tamil Nadu Food Safety Subordinate Service shall apply to the holders of the temporary posts sanctioned from time to time, subject to the modifications specified below, namely:- 1. Qualifications.- (a). Age No person shall be eligible for appointment to the posts by direct recruitment, if he has completed or will complete the age of 30 years on the first day of July of the year in which the selection for appointment in made. (2) Food Safety Officer By direct recruitment (i) A Bachelor's degree in Food Technology or Dairy Technology or Biotechnology or Oil Technology or Agricultural Science or Veterinary Sciences or Bio-Chemistry or Microbiology or Master's Degree in Chemistry or a bachelor's Degree in medicine from a University recognized by the University Grants Commission or (ii) Any other equivalent /recognized qualification notified by the Central Government. 5. Reservation of Appointment.-The Rule relating to reservation of appointments (General Rule 22) shall apply for appointment to the posts by direct recruitment. 6. Probation.- Every person appointed to the posts by direct recruitment shall, from the date on which he joins duty, be on probation for a total period of two years on duty within a continuous period of three years: Provided that for the persons appointed to the post of Statistical Assistant by recruitment by transfer shall, from the date on which he joins duty, be on probation for a total period of one year on duty within a continuous period of two years. 7. Test.- Every person appointed to the post of Food Safety Officer by direct recruitment shall pass the test of Account test for Executive Officers, within the period of probation. 8.
