In the said Rules,─ (1) in rule 596, for sub-rule (3), the following sub-rule shall be substituted namely:- “(3) Subsistence allowance shall be paid to the prisoners at the following rates, namely:- (i) "A" class and special class remand and under trial prisoners be paid at Rs.120/- per prisoner per meal (ii) "B" class and ordinary remand and under-trial prisoners be paid at Rs.75/- per prisoner per meal", (2) In rule 831, in sub rule (1), for the expressions "Rs.40/-" and "Rs.25/-", the expressions "Rs.120/-" and "Rs.75/-" shall, respectively, be substituted. Ms. No. 517, Home (Prison-V), 6th October 2025, புரட்டாாசி 20, விசுவாாவாசு, திருவாள்ளுவார் ஆண்டு-2056.] No. SRO A-28/ 2025.—In exercise of the powers conferred by Section 9 of the Prisoners (Attendance in Courts) Act, 1955 (Central Act XXXII of 1955), and all the powers hereunto enabling, the Governor of Tamil Nadu hereby makes the following amendment to the Tamil Nadu Prisoners (Attendance in Courts) Rules, 1982:- Amendments. In the said Rules, in rule 14, in sub-rule (3), for clause (ii), the following clause shall be substituted, namely:- "(ii) Subsistence allowance: (a) "A" class prisoners at Rs.120/- per prisoner per meal.
