Ministry of Social Justice & Empowerment Hon'ble Minister for Social Justice and Empowerment to chair the 5th Meeting of the National Council for Senior Citizens (NCSrC) Ministry To Launch e-Book titled "SNEHA - Stories of Nurturing, Engagement, Happiness & Active Ageing" प्रव तथ: 13 AUG 2026 6:50PM by PIB Delhi The Hon'ble Minister for Social Justice and Empowerment, Dr. Virendra Kumar will chair the 5th Meeting of the National Council for Senior Citizens (NCSrC) tomorrow at Dr. Ambedkar International Centre (DAIC), New Delhi. The meeting will be attended by the representatives of Central Ministries, Departments, State Governments and Union Territories, Oldest Members of Parliament, National Commissions, experts in the field of ageing, representatives of Senior Citizens' Associations, Pensioners' Associations and Non- Governmental Organisations working for the welfare of senior citizens. The Council will deliberate upon key issues concerning the welfare of the Senior citizens. The deliberations are expected to further strengthen inter-ministerial convergence and reinforce the Government's commitment towards ensuring a life of dignity, security, participation and well-being for senior citizens, in line with the vision of Viksit Bharat @2047.On this occasion, the Ministry will also launch "SNEHA - Stories of Nurturing, Engagement, Happiness & Active Ageing", an e-book showcasing major events initiatives and achievements of the Senior Citizen Division from October 2024 to June 2026.
