NOTIFICATION In exercise of the powers conferred under Section 46(2) of the Real Estate (Regulation & Development) Act, 2016 read with Rule 31(2) of the Karnataka Real Estate (Regulation & Development) Rules, 2017, the Government of Karnataka hereby appoints Hon’ble Ms. Justice J.M. Khazi, former Judge, High Court of Karnataka as Chairperson of the Karnataka Real Estate Appellate Tribunal. 2) Before taking charge as Chairperson of the Appellate Tribunal, the person so appointed shall, as a condition precedent, vacate office, if any, under the State / Central Government or any Public Undertaking or any Government body held by him or is otherwise gainfully employed or engaged in the service of any person, either by way of resignation or taking voluntary retirement from such service. 3) The term of the Chairperson shall be for a period of five years from the date of her assumption of charge of the post or till she attains the age of sixty seven years or until further orders, whichever is earlier, and she shall not be eligible for re-appointment.
