The announcement is from the Housing and Urban Development Department, issued under Government Order (Status) No. 197, Housing and Urban Development [UD4-(2)] Department, dated November 11, 2022.
The Tamil Nadu Governor, by exercising powers conferred in sub-section (48) of Section 2 of the Tamil Nadu Town and Country Planning Act, 1971 (Tamil Nadu Act 35/1972), designates the following revenue villages in the Coimbatore district as Coimbatore urban planning area.
The announcement lists 118 villages from different taluks like Annur, Coimbatore North, Coimbatore South, Kinathukadavu, Madukkarai, Mettupalayam, Perur, Sulur. Each village is identified by a serial number, the name of the taluk it belongs to, the village number, and the name of the revenue village.
