Nagpur : 9 January 2026 “Infrastructure such as land, power, and basic facilities can be created, but long-term growth depends on the availability of skilled human resources,” said Dr. Dinesh Keskar, former senior executive at Boeing and a global aviation industry expert, during his visit to the Indian Institute of Management (IIM) Nagpur.Dr. Keskar was speaking at a leadership interaction programme organised at IIM Nagpur, where he addressed students and faculty members on leadership development, global industry perspectives, and the importance of skill-based education. He emphasised that institutions like IIM Nagpur play a crucial role in nurturing future-ready professionals equipped with knowledge, values, and adaptability.Highlighting the importance of education in shaping leadership, Dr. Keskar said, “The combination of strong academic foundations, ethical values, and practical exposure is essential for building effective leaders for the future.” During the interaction, Dr. Keskar also spoke about his personal connection with the Vidarbha region.
“I spent my early years in Amravati, and Nagpur and Vidarbha have always remained close to my heart. It is encouraging to see a premier institution like IIM Nagpur contributing to the region’s academic and professional growth,” he said.
Addressing students, Dr. Keskar advised them to remain open to change, continuously upgrade their skills, and be prepared to work across multiple domains in an evolving global environment. He encouraged students to focus on lifelong learning and teamwork to succeed in leadership roles.
Dr. Keskar also appreciated the academic environment, curriculum structure, and student engagement at IIM Nagpur, noting the institute’s growing stature at the national level.
Earlier, Dr. Bhimaraya Metri, Director of IIM Nagpur, welcomed Dr. Keskar to the campus, while Prof. Alok Kumar Singh, Dean – Executive Education, felicitated him. Faculty members, students, and staff of the institute were present during the leadership interaction.
