NOTIFICATION
Whereas, upon considering the report of the Investigating Agencies, after due
investigation of the complaint of depositors, it has come to notice of the Government
that M/s I Monetary Advisory (IMA) and its group entities are involved in fraudulent
transactions by clandestinely and illegally collecting deposits or money from the general
public and thereafter have failed to return the same either after maturity or on demand
made by the depositors or complainants with promised interest and other assured
benefits and thereby have failed to render the services promised to them.
And whereas, the Government has reason to believe that actions of
M/s I Monetary Advisory (IMA) and its group entities and people associating with them
are in a manner which are detrimental to the interest of the depositors or complainants
and it has become necessary to protect the interest of the depositors of M/s I Monetary
Advisory (IMA) and its group entities.
And whereas, now the Government after considering the report of the Special
Officer and Competent Authority IMA., as well as charge sheet submitted by CBI has
come to the conclusion that Shri R. Roshan Baig s/o Late A. R. Baig, Former Minister

and Ex-MLA, residing at No. 3, Cleveland Road, Frazer Town, Bengaluru has played a
key role in utilizing his public office and goodwill to promote the business activities of
the IMA Group as well as in return getting financial benefits from the group and
thereby has played a role clandestinely as the promoter and beneficiary of the IMA
group by investing in the form of sweat equity rather than being a formal promoter who
invests equity in the form of money.
And whereas, the Special Officer & Competent Authority, IMA, has also
forwarded to Government a report and a copy of the charge sheet submitted by Central
Bureau of the Investigation which was submitted to the Additional City Civil and
Sessions Judge and Principal special Judge for CBI Cases at Bengaluru.
As per the section 3 of the KPIDFE Act the Government may, in order to protect
the interests of the depositors of such Financial Establishments, after recording reasons
in writing issue an order by publishing it in the official gazette,
Attaching the money or property believed to have been acquired by such financial
establishment either in its own name or in the name of any other person from and out
of the deposits collected by the financial establishment or not sufficient for the
repayment of the deposits, such other property of the said financial establishments. or
the personal assets of the promoters, partners, directors, managers or members or any
other person of the said Financial Establishments.
Hence after satisfying itself about the urgent need to protect the interest of the
depositors and in exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (2) of Section 3 of the
Karnataka Protection of interest of Depositors in Financial Establishment Act, 2004
(Karnataka Act 30 of 2005) Government of Karnataka hereby orders to attach the
movable properties belonging to Shri R. Roshan Baig Former Minister and Ex-MLA.
Hence the following order:
“ORDER’’
Now therefore, in exercise of the powers conferred by sub section (2) of Section 3
of the Karnataka Protection of Interest of Depositors in Financial Establishment Act,
2004 (Karnataka Act 30 of 2005), the Government under the circumstances stated above
having satisfied that in order to protect the interest of3
depositors it is necessary to attach the movable properties belonging to Former Minister
and Ex-MLA Shri R. Roshan Baig as specified in the Annexure to this order.
Note: All the aforesaid movable properties as specified in Annexure to this order from
the date of publication of this order in the Official Gazette, shall be forthwith attached
and shall be recoverable and vest with the Competent Authority, who has been
appointed by the Government, pending further orders from the Special Court.
