**Summary:**
Public Notice No. 01/2015-20, issued by the Directorate General of Foreign Trade (DGFT), Department of Commerce, Ministry of Commerce and Industry, Government of India, dated April 4, 2022, announces an extension to the implementation date for the Track and Trace system concerning the export of pharmaceutical and drug consignments. This system mandates the maintenance of Parent-Child relationships in packaging to track and trace products throughout the supply chain.
The public notice amends Para 2.90 A of the Handbook of Procedure 2015-20. Specifically, it substitutes "01.04.2022" with "01.04.2023" in Para 2.90 A (vi and vii) of the Handbook of Procedure 2015-20, as previously amended by Public Notice No. 46/2015-20 dated March 30, 2021. The effect of this notice is to extend the date for mandatory implementation of the Track and Trace system for export consignments of pharmaceutical and drug products to April 1, 2023.
