3. Manufacturers are required to obtain fee details from Centre for Calibration and Testing (CFCT) through email (cfct.nplindiacsir.res.in). Fees will vary based on individual cases, parameters, and the certification status of the instruments.
All CEMS manufacturers are required to apply to NPL India within one week of this announcement, as previously communicated during a meeting held on August 20, 2025. Failure to comply may result in the CEMS not being permitted for installation/operation and denied connection to the Central Server of the Central Pollution Control Board (CPCB).

1. Certification scheme has been made operative by NPL for air emission. Details are available in

2. All the manufacturers of Continuous Emission Monitoring Systems
(CEMS), instrument/equipment (Indian/Foreign make), who have installed the same or planning to
install the same for monitoring of air emissions in stacks of industries in Delhi-NCR are required to
submit:
i. Duly filled-in application form for getting Air Pollution Monitoring Equipment Product
Certification under CSIR - NPL India Certification Scheme (NPLI CS) for their Continuous Emission
Monitoring Systems (CEMS) instrument/equipment.
ii. Manufacturers having Certifications from other International agencies for the product, details
submitted in the application form, have to submit copy of such certificates to NPL along with relevant
documents and reports on the basis of which the certificate has been issued such as Product conformity
certificate along-with Test report.
iii. Manufacturers are required to obtain fee details from Centre for calibration & testing
(cfct.nplindia@csir.res.in) through email. The fee will vary on case to case basis and depending on
parameters & certification status of instruments.
iv. All the CEMS manufacturers must apply within a week (as also informed in the earlier meeting
held with manufacturers on 20.08.2025) to NPL India failing which their CEMS may not be allowed
installation/operation and permission to get connected with Central Server of CPCB.
