New Delhi, the 29th January, 2018
S.O. 458(E). —In continuation of Central Government’s Gazette Notification No. S.O. 2395 (E) dated 13th July
2016 notifying the project of Jaigarh Port – Digni Rail Connectivity as a Special Railway Project in the State of
Maharashtra, the Dy. Collector (Land Acquisition) Coordination, State of Maharashtra, vide Letter No.
LA/Coordination/Office-1/Jaigarh-Digni Rail route/2016 dated 31/12/2016 has appointed the officer mentioned in
column (2) of the Table below as the Competent Authority in respect to land acquisition for this Special Railway Project
of Jaigarh Port – Digni Rail Connectivity in the State of Maharashtra relating to District mentioned in column (3) of the
said Table for the public purpose.
Further in exercise of powers conferred by clause 7 A of Section 2 of the Railway Act 1989 (24 of 1989), the Central
Government hereby notifies and confirms that the officer mentioned in column (2) of the Table below is also the
Competent Authority to perform the functions of such authority under the said Railway Act 1989 with effect from
31/12/2016 in respect to land acquisition for this Special Railway Project of Jaigarh Port – Digni Rail Connectivity in the
State of Maharashtra relating to District mentioned in column (3) of the said Table for the said public purpose.
