NOTIFICATION
New Delhi, the 11th January, 2018
S.O. 145(E).—In continuation of this Department’s Notification published in the
Official Gazette vide S.O. 3186(E), dated 29th September 2017 and in pursuance of
Department of Personnel & Training's Order No. 36/01/2017-EO(SM-I), dated
28th November 2017, the Central Government in exercise of the powers conferred by
sub-section (1) of Section 7 of the Bureau of Indian Standards Act, 2016 (11 of 2016),
hereby appoints Smt. Surina Rajan, IAS (HY:1985) as Director General of the Bureau of
Indian Standards by temporarily upgrading the post of Director General, Bureau of Indian
Standards to the level of Special Secretary w.e.f. 01st December 2017 till she attains the age
of superannuation, i.e. up to 31st August, 2019 or until further orders, whichever is earlier.
