NOTIFICATION
New Delhi, the 26th April, 2016
S.O. 1601(E).— In exercise of powers conferred by clause (a) of section 3 of the National
Highways Act, 1956 (48 of 1956), the Central Government, hereby authorizes the officers mentioned
in column (2) of the Schedule annexed hereto as the competent authorities to perform the functions
of such authorities under the said Act with effect from the date of publication of this notification in
the Official Gazette, in respect of the stretch of land specified in the corresponding entry in column
(3) of the Schedule relating to the District, Blocks, Police Stations and mouzas/villages mentioned in
the column (4), (5), (6), (7) respectively in the Schedule in building (widening/ four-laning etc.)
including the bypasses, maintenance, management and operation of part of National Highway No.
717 (Asian Highway No. 48) in the state of West Bengal.
