NOTIFICATION
New Delhi, the 7th August, 2020
S.O. 2670(E).— In exercise of powers conferred by clause (a) of section 3 of the National Highways
Act, 1956(48 of 1956), the Central Government hereby makes the following amendment in the notification of the
Government of India in the Ministry of Road Transport and Highways Number S.O.1342 (E) dated the
20th December, 2002, published in the Gazette of India, Extraordinary, Part II, Section 3, Sub-Section (ii), dated the
20th December, 2002 and Amendment Notification Number S.O.1085(E) dated the 1st May 2013, published in the
Gazette of India, Extraordinary, Part II, Section 3, Sub-Section (ii), dated the 1st May 2013, authorizes the officers
mentioned in column (2) of the Schedule annexed here to as the competent authorities to perform the functions of such
authorities under the said Act with effect from the date of publication of this notification in the Official Gazette, in
respect of the stretch of land from Belgaum to Maharashtra Border (Km. 515 to Km. 592.24 of the NH4 (New NH-48)
for building (widening / four-laning, etc.), maintenance, management and operation in the State of KARNATAKA.
