This notification, No. 26/2015-2020, issued by the Ministry of Commerce and Industry, Department of Commerce, on September 9, 2016, amends the import policy of Urea under ITC HS code 3102 10 00 of Chapter 31 of ITC HS, 2012 Schedule 1 Import Policy.
The amendment removes the Actual User (AU) condition on the import of Industrial Urea Technical Grade Urea (TGU). The revised policy states that import of Industrial Urea Technical Grade Urea (TGU) shall be free. The existing policy stated that import of Industrial Urea Technical Grade Urea TGU shall be free, subject to Actual User condition.
This notification is issued in exercise of powers conferred by Section 3 of the Foreign Trade (Development and Regulation) Act, 1992, read with paragraph 1.02 and 2.01 of the Foreign Trade Policy, 2015-2020, as amended from time to time.
