This notification, S.O. 1225(E), issued by the Ministry of Commerce and Industry, Department of Commerce, on March 28, 2020, establishes import quotas for specific items within Chapter 7 of the Indian Trade Classification (Harmonized System), 2017, Schedule 1 (Import Policy) for the fiscal year 2020-2021.

Existing import policy conditions, including the Minimum Import Price (MIP) of Rs. 200 and port restriction through Kolkata sea port only for all peas (07131010, 07131020, 07131090) as per Notification No. 37, dated December 18, 2019, remain unchanged.
These quota restrictions do not apply to government import commitments under any bilateral/regional Agreement/Memorandum of Understanding. The quota will be allotted only to millers/refiners as per the procedure to be notified by the Directorate General of Foreign Trade (DGFT).
This notification is effective from the date of its publication in the official Gazette.

3. उपरोक्त कोटा प्रजतबंध दकसी जद्वपक्षीय या क्षेत्रीय करार या समझौता ज्ञापन के तहत सरकार की आयात संबंधी प्रजतबद्धता
पर लाग ूनहीं होगा।
4. यह अजधसूचना राजपत्र में प्रकािन की तारीख से प्रभावी होगी। जवत्त वर्च 2020-2021 के जलए उपरोक्त कोटा जवदेि
व्यापार महाजनदेिालय द्वारा अजधसूजचत जवस्ट्तृत प्रदिया के अनुसार केवल जमलसच / ठरफाइनर को आवंठटत दकया जाएगा।

New Delhi, the 28th March, 2020
S.O. 1225(E).—In exercise of powers conferred by section 3 of the Foreign Trade (Development and
Regulation) Act, 1992 (22 of 1992), read with paragraphs 1.02 and 2.01 of the Foreign Trade Policy, 2015-
2020, as amended from time to time, the Central Government hereby notifies the annual quota for the fiscal
year 2020–21 for the items of Chapter 7 of the Indian Trade Classification (Harmonized System), 2017,
Schedule-1 (Import Policy), as under :

2. The import policy conditions such as Minimum import price (MIP) of Rs.200/ and port restriction through

dated 18th December, 2019 remain unchanged .
3. The above quota restriction will not apply to Government’s import commitments under any
bilateral/regional Agreement/Memorandum of Understanding.
4. This notification shall come into force from the date of its publication in the official Gazette. The above
mentioned quota for the fiscal year 2020-2021 shall be allotted only to millers / refiners as per detailed
procedure to be notified by Directorate General of Foreign Trade.
