This notification, S.O. 1122(E), issued by the Ministry of Commerce and Industry, Department of Commerce, and dated March 17, 2020, amends the import policy for items within Chapter 7 of the Indian Trade Classification (Harmonized System), 2017. S.O. 1122(E).—In exercise of powers conferred by section 3 of the Foreign Trade (Development
and Regulation) Act, 1992 (22 of 1992), read with paragraphs 1.02 and 2.01 of the Foreign Trade Policy,
2015-2020, the Central Government hereby notifies the Import Policy of items of Chapter 7 of the Indian
Trade Classification (Harmonized System), 2017, Schedule-1 (Import Policy), as under –

2. Effect of the Notification: Annual quota of Urad for the year 2020-21 is 4 Lakh MT and will be effective from
1st May, 2020 to 31st March, 2021. The earlier Notification published in the Gazette of India, Extraordinary vide
S.O. 4540 (E) dated 18.12.2019 read with its Corrigendum vide S.O. 4604 (E) dated 24.12.2019 and DGFT’s Trade
Notice No. 54/2019-20 dated 03.03.2020 extending the date of import up to 30.04.2020 in respect of import of Urad
for the year 2019-20 will be implemented separately.
