S.O. 8(E).—In exercise of powers conferred by section 5 of the National Highways Act, 1956 (48 of 1956), and
in supersession to this Ministry’s Notification No. 4151(E) dated 23.12.2016, the Central Government hereby directs that
the National Highways & Infrastruture Develoopment Corporation Limited shall exercise the function relating to the
development and maintenance of the stretch as specified in column (3) and column(4) of the following Table, of the
corresponding section as specified in Column (2) of the said Table, of the National Highways as described in column (1)
thereof.
In the Table to the said notification, the following entries, under columns number (1), (2), (3)and (4) respectively
shall be omitted:-

NOTIFICATION
New Delhi, the 2nd January, 2019
S.O. 9(E).—In exercise of the powers conferred by section 5 of the National Highways Act, 1956 (48 of 1956),
the Central Government hereby directs that the functions in relation to the execution of works pertaining to each of the
National Highways described in column (2) of the Table hereto annexed shall be exercisable by the State Government
specified in column (3) of the Table against each highway subject to the condition that the State Government concerned
shall in the exercise of such functions be bound to comply with the rules for the time being in force under the said Act
and for that purpose makes the following further amendments in the notification of the Government of India in the
erstwhile Ministry of Shipping, Road Transport and Highways (Department of Road Transport and Highways) number
S.O. 1096(E), dated the 4th August, 2005, namely:-
In the said notification, in the Schedule, for serial number 35 & and the entries relating thereto, the following
shall be substituted, namely: -
