This notification, issued by the Ministry of Consumer Affairs, Food and Public Distribution, Department of Consumer Affairs, Government of India, effective July 29, 2020, appoints officers to key positions within the Central Consumer Protection Authority (CCPA) and its Investigation Wing. The appointments are made under the authority of subsection 2 of section 10 and subsection 2 of section 15 of the Consumer Protection Act, 2019.
Smt. Nidhi Khare, Additional Secretary in the Department of Consumer Affairs, is appointed as Chief Commissioner. Shri Anupam Mishra, Joint Secretary in the Department of Consumer Affairs, is appointed as Commissioner.
Within the Investigation Wing of the CCPA, Shri Pramod Kumar Tiwari, Director General, Bureau of Indian Standards, is appointed as Director General Investigation. Shri Vineet Mathur, Director General, National Test House, is appointed as Additional Director General Investigation.
