NOTIFICATION
New Delhi, the 26th October, 2021
No. L-1/42/2010-CERC.—In exercise of powers conferred under Section 178 of the Electricity
Act, 2003 (36 of 2003) and all other powers enabling it in this behalf, the Central Electricity Regulatory
Commission had specified the Central Electricity Regulatory Commission (Regulation of Power Supply)
Regulations, 2010 that was amended vide the Central Electricity Regulatory Commission (Regulation of
Power Supply) (First Amendment) Regulations, 2021.
2. The Central Electricity Regulatory Commission herewith repeals with immediate effect, the Central
Electricity Regulatory Commission (Regulation of Power Supply) Regulations, 2010 along with the Central
Electricity Regulatory Commission (Regulation of Power Supply) (First Amendment) Regulations, 2021.
3. Notwithstanding such repeal, Implementation Plan, if any, already under implementation by
Regional Load Despatch Centres or State Load Despatch Centres as on the date of this notification, shall
run its normal course under the repealed regulations.

Note : The Central Electricity Regulatory Commission (Regulation of Power Supply) Regulations, 2010
were notified in Part III- Section 4 No. 248 of Gazette of India (Extraordinary) dated 30.9.2010,
corrected vide corrigendum notified in Part III- Section 4 No. 185 of Gazette of India
(Extraordinary) dated 06.9.2011. The Central Electricity Regulatory Commission (Regulation of
Power Supply) (First Amendment) Regulations, 2021 was notified vide notification in Part III-
Section 4 No. 152 of Gazette of India (Extraordinary) dated 12.4.2021.
