New Delhi, the 20th November, 2018
S.O. 5800(E).—In exercise of the power conferred by sub-section (4) of section 41 of the Motor
Vehicles Act,1988, (59 of 1988), the Central Government hereby makes the following amendment to the
notification of the Government of India in the erstwhile Ministry of Shipping, Road Transport and Highways,
Department of Road Transport and Highways number Notification S.O. 1248(E), dated the 5th November,
2004, published in the Gazette of India, Extraordinary, Part II, Section 3, Sub-section (ii), namely:—
In the said notification, in the TABLE, in the second column under ‘Non-Transport Vehicle’, after item (xvi),
the following item shall be inserted, namely:—
(xvii) Quadricycle”.
