This notification, S.O. 4089(E), issued by the Ministry of Power on December 19, 2016, designates the Power System Operation Corporation Limited (POSOCO) as the operator of the National Load Despatch Centre (NLDC) in New Delhi, the Northern Regional Load Despatch Centre (NRLDC) in New Delhi, the Eastern Regional Load Despatch Centre (ERLDC) in Kolkata, the Western Regional Load Despatch Centre (WRLDC) in Mumbai, the Southern Regional Load Despatch Centre (SRLDC) in Bengaluru, and the NorthEastern Regional Load Despatch Centre (NERLDC) in Shillong. NOTIFICATION
New Delhi, the 19th December, 2016
S.O. 4089(E).—In exercise of the power conferred by sub-section (3) of section 26 and sub-section (2) of
section 27 of the Electricity Act, 2003 (36 of 2003), and in supersession of the notification of the Government of India, in
the Ministry of Power number S.O. 2342(E), dated the 27th September, 2010, published in the Gazette of India,
Extraordinary, Part II, Section 3, Sub-section (ii), except as respects things done or omitted to be done before such
supersession, the Central Government hereby notifies that the Power System Operation Corporation Limited, having its
registered office at B-9, Qutub Institutional Area, Katwaria Sarai, New Delhi-110016, a wholly owned Government
company, shall operate the following, with effect from the 3rd January, 2017, —
(i)(cid:32) National Load Despatch Centre, New Delhi;
(ii)(cid:32) Northern Regional Load Despatch Centre, New Delhi;
(iii)(cid:32) Eastern Regional Load Despatch Centre, Kolkata;
(iv)(cid:32) Western Regional Load Despatch Centre, Mumbai;
(v)(cid:32) Southern Regional Load Despatch Centre, Bengaluru; and
(vi)(cid:32) North-Eastern Regional Load Despatch Centre, Shillong.
