Laws, read with Rules 11.2 of the Rules & Regulations of National Institute for the Empowerment of Persons
with Intellectual Disabilities (NIEPID) Secunderabad, (erstwhile National Institute for the Mentally
Handicapped), an autonomous body under the Ministry of Social Justice & Empowerment, Department of

Government hereby notifies the revised Recruitment Rules of the post of Director, NIEPVD, Dehradun as
under:

with visual disability,

(iii) Holding posts in Level 11 in the Pay Matrix with eight
years regular service in the field of rehabilitation of persons
with visual disability.
and,
Possessing the following qualifications:-
(B) Essential qualifications and requirements :-
Master’s Degree in Ophthalmology or Special Education or
any other discipline from a recognized University/Institution
with 55% marks or equivalent grade.
(C) Desirable Qualifications/ requirements:-
(i) Ph.D. in the relevant field.
(ii) Experience of research in the field of rehabilitation work
& published papers.
For Short Term Contract:- Essential and desirable
qualifications and experience as prescribed for deputation
and as mentioned under (B) and (C) above would be required
with 10 years working experience in the field of rehabilitation
of persons with visual disability.
12 If a D.P.C. exists what is its No DPC exists. However, as per the provision in the By-Laws
composition of the Institute, Selection Committee shall be constituted by
the President, General Council of NIEPVD, Dehradun.
