2001 (52 of 2001), the Central Government in consultation with the Bureau of Energy Efficiency, hereby makes the following further amendments in the notification of the Government of India in the Ministry of Power, number S.O. 183(E), dated the 16th January, 2009, namely:— In the said notification, in paragraph 2,— a) for sub-paragraph (1), the following sub-paragraph shall be substituted, namely:— “(1) The star level of the household frost free refrigerator shall be determined on the basis of star level parameters, constant multiplier (kWh/litre/year) – k and constant fixed allowance (kWh/Year)- c which nf nf, shall be obtained from the Table 2.1 or Table 2.2 or Table 2.3 or Table 2.4 or Table 2.5, depending on the year of manufacturing or import or sale as specified in Table A and the Comparative Energy Consumption (CEC) and total adjusted storage volume for household frost free refrigerator (V ) adj_tot_nf shall be used to determine the star rating band and star rating of (2A) The permission for display of particulars on the frost free refrigerator for one star specified in Table 2.4 shall not be permitted from the 1st January 2019 to 31st December 2019 for the purpose of upgrading the minimum energy performance level of such Frost Free Refrigerator.”; c) in sub-paragraph (3), for the words and figures “Table 2.1 or 2.2 or 2.3 or 2.4”, the words and figures “Table 2.1 or Table 2.2 or Table 2.3 or Table 2.4 or Table 2.5” shall be substituted; d) for sub-paragraph (5), the following sub-paragraph shall be substituted, namely:- “(5) The star level plan shall be reviewed before the expiry of the period specified under Table 2.5 and thereafter, the star level plan shall be reviewed every two years.”; [F. (ii) for sub-paragraph (2), the following shall be substituted, namely:- “(2) The comparative energy consumption (CEC) and total adjusted storage volume for household direct cool refrigerator (V ) shall be used to determine the star rating band and adj_tot_dc star rating of the model.
