NOTIFICATION
New Delhi, the 8th August, 2017
S.O. 2676(E).—In exercise of the powers conferred by clause (a) of section 3 of the National Highways Act,
1956 (48 of 1956), the Central Government hereby makes the following amendments in the notification of the
Government of India, in the Ministry of Road Transport and Highways, number S.O. 1602(E) dated the 2nd May, 2016
published in the Gazette of India, Extraordinary, Part-II, Section-3, Sub-section(ii), namely:—
i) In the preamble to the aforesaid notification, instead of the words ''Additional District Magistrate (LA),
Burdwan'' the words ''Additional District Magistrate (LA), Purba Bardhaman'' shall be substituted.
ii) In the preamble to the aforesaid notification, instead of the words “2 laning with paved shoulder and
strengthening of NH-2B from existing Km 0+000 (Nababhat, Burdwan) to Km 46+000 (Bhedia, Natunhat Bridge over
river Ajoy) in the district of Bardhaman, West Bengal” the words “2 laning with paved shoulder and strengthening of NH-
2B from existing Km 0+000 (Nababhat, Burdwan) to Km 46+000 (Bhedia, Natunhat Bridge over river Ajoy) in the district
of Purba Bardhaman, West Bengal” shall be substituted.
iii) In the schedule to the aforesaid notification, instead of the words “2 laning with paved shoulder and
strengthening of NH-2B from existing Km 0+000 (Nababhat, Burdwan) to Km 46+000 (Bhedia, Natunhat Bridge over
river Ajoy) in the district of Bardhaman, West Bengal” the words “2 laning with paved shoulder and strengthening of NH-
2B from existing Km 0+000 (Nababhat, Burdwan) to Km 46+000 (Bhedia, Natunhat Bridge over river Ajoy) in the district
of Purba Bardhaman, West Bengal” shall be substituted.
iv) In the schedule to the aforesaid notification, the entry made in column 2, “District”, “'Bardhaman” shall be read
as “Purba Bardhaman” , in column 3, ‘Taluk’, Sl. No. 1 to 9 “Bardhaman-1” shall be read as “Burdwan-1”, Sl. No. 10
“Bardhaman-2” shall be read as “Burdwan-1”, Sl. No. 36 to 39 “Mongalkot” shall be read as “Mangalkote” in column 4,
‘Police Station”, Sl. No. 1 to 10 “Bardhaman” shall be read as “Burdwan” & Sl. No. 36 to 39 “Mongalkot” shall be read
as “Mangalkote”
