New Delhi, the 24th August, 2018
S.O. 4152(E).—In exercise of the powers conferred by clause (a) of section 9 of the Fugitive Economic Offenders
Act, 2018 (17 of 2018) (hereinafter referred to as the said Act) and in supersession of the notification of the Government
of India in the Ministry of Finance, Department of Economic Affairs number S.O. 1729(E), dated the 24th April, 2018,
published in the Gazette of India, Extraordinary, Part II, Section 3, Sub-section (ii), dated the 24th April, 2018, except as
respects things done or omitted to be done before such supersession, the Central Government hereby authorises officers
not below the rank of Assistant Directors in the Directorate of Enforcement established under section 36 of the Foreign
Exchange Management Act, 1999 (42 of 1999), to exercise the power to search any person and to seize such record or
property which may be useful for or relevant to proceedings under the said Act.

Offenders Act, 2018 (17 of 2018) (hereinafter referred to as the said Act) and in supersession of the notification of the
Government of India in the Ministry of Finance, Department of Economic Affairs number S.O. 1730 (E), dated the
24th April, 2018, published in the Gazette of India, Extraordinary, Part II, Section 3, Sub-section (ii), dated the 24th April,
2018, except as respects things done or omitted to be done before such supersession, the Central Government hereby
appoints the Special Directors of Enforcement of the Directorate of Enforcement established under section 36 of the
Foreign Exchange Management Act, 1999 (42 of 1999), to perform the functions of an Administrator under the said Act.
