सा.का.जन. 95(अ).—केंद्रीय सरकार, जसक्का जनमायण अजधजनयम, 2011 (2011 का 11) की धारा 24 की
उप-धारा (2) के खंड (घ) और खंड (ङ) द्वारा प्रदत्त िजियों का प्रयोग करत े हुए, जनम्नजलजखत जनयम बनाती ह,ै
अथायत:् -
1. संजिप्त नाम और प्रारंभ:- (1) इन जनयमों का नाम एक रुपय ेके करेंसी नोटों का मुद्रण जनयम, 2020 ह।ै
(2) ये रािपत्र म ें उसके प्रकािन की तारीख को प्रिृत्त होंगे।
2. मद्रु ण:-एक रुपय े के करेंसी नोट को पररचालन के जलए भारत सरकार के प्राजधकरण के अंतगयत िारी करन े के जलए
नोट मुद्रण प्रेसों में मुदद्रत दकये िाएंगे।
3. एक रुपय े की करेंसी नोट के जिमाय ें और सरं चना:- एक रुपये की करेंसी नोट पहली अनसु ूची में जनर्ददष्ट जिमाओं
और संरचना के अनुरूप होंगे।
4. जडिाइन:- एक रुपये के करेंसी नोटों का जडिाइन दसू री अनुसूची में जिजनर्ददष्ट जडिाइन के अनुसार होगा।
5. मानक ििन और उपचार अनज्ञु ात:- एक रुपये के करेंसी नोटों के मुद्रण में मानक कागि ििन और उपचार
(सह्यता) अनुज्ञात तीसरी अनुसचू ी के अनरूु प होगी।

(क) इसमें “Government of India” िब्दों के ऊपर "भारत सरकार" िब्द ह ैं और श्री अतनु चक्रिती, सजचि,
जित्त मंत्रालय के जद्वभाजिक हस्ट्तािर ह ैं तथा 'सत्यमेि ियते' और संख्याकन पैनल में बडा इनसेट अिर ‘L’ के
साथ िारी ₹ प्रतीक सजहत 2020 के एक रुपय ेके नए जसक्के की प्रजतकृजत ह।ै
(ख) संख्यांकन बाएं से दाएं सख्ं याओं के बढते आकार में नोट के दायें जनचले जहस्ट्से में काले रंग में होगा, िबदक
पहले तीन आिारंकीय जचन्ह (प्रीदफक्स) आकार में जस्ट्थर रहगें ।े
(2) पष्ठृ भाग:- इसमें "Government of India" िब्दों के ऊपर "भारत सरकार" िब्द ह ैतथा '₹' प्रतीक के साथ दिे
की कृजि प्रधानता को दिायने िाले अनाि के जडिाइन िाल े एक रुपये के जचत्र पर ििय 2020 ह ै तथा आसपास के
जडिाइन में तले अन्िेिण प्लेटफामय "सागर सम्राट" का जचत्र ह ै जिसमें भािा पैनल में पंद्रह भारतीय भािाओं म ें
प्रामाजणक मूल्य ददया गया ह ैऔर "सागर सम्राट" और भािा पैनल के बीच ििय की संख्या अतं रायष्ट्रीय अंकों में लम्बित
दिाययी गई ह।ै
(3) समग्र रंग स्ट्कीम-एक रुपये की करेंसी नोट का रंग अग्र भाग मख्ु य रूप से गलु ाबी हरा होगा और पष्ठृ भाग म ेंअन्य
रंगों का तालमले होगा।

NOTIFICATION
New Delhi, the 7th February, 2020
G.S.R. 95(E).—In exercise of the powers conferred by clause (d) and clause (e) of
sub-section (2) of section 24 of the Coinage Act, 2011 (11 of 2011), the Central Government hereby
makes the following rules, namely:—
1. Short title and commencement.-(1) These rules may be called the Printing of One Rupee
Currency Notes Rules, 2020.
(2) They shall come into force from the date of their publication in the Official Gazette.
2. Printing.-The One Rupee notes shall be printed at the note printing presses for issue under the
authority of Government of India for circulation.
3. Dimensions and compositions of One Rupee Currency Note.-The One Rupee Currency Notes
shall conform to the dimensions and composition as specified in the First Schedule.
4. Design.-The design of One Rupee Currency Notes shall be as specified in the Second Schedule.
5. Standard weight and remedy allowed.-The standard paper weight and remedy (tolerance)
allowed in printing of One Rupee Currency Notes shall be as specified in the Third Schedule.

SECOND SCHEDULE
(see rule 4)
(1) Obverse:-
(a) It contains the words „भारत सरकार‟ above the words “Government of India” with the
bilingual signature of Shri Atanu Chakraborty, Secretary, Ministry of Finance and with the
replica of New Rupee One coin with „₹‟ symbol of 2020 issued with 'सत्यमेव जयत‟े and
capital Inset letter ‘L’ in numbering panel.
(b) The numbering shall be in black at right hand bottom portion of the Note in ascending
size of numerals from left to right, while the first three alphanumeric characters (prefix)

(2) Reverse: - It contains the words „भारत सरकार‟ above the words “Government of India” with the
year 2020 on the representation of the One Rupee coin with „₹‟ symbol having design of grains
depicting the agricultural dominance of the country and the surrounding design consist of picture of
„Sagar Samrat‟ the oil exploration platform and with the authentic rendering of value in fifteen Indian
languages in language panel with the year figure shown vertically between “Sagar Samrat” and
language panel in international number.
(3) Overall Colour Scheme: - The colour of One Rupee Currency Note shall be predominantly pink
green on observe and reverse in combination with others.
