S.O. 3972(E).—In exercise of the powers conferred by clause (iii) of sub-section (I) of section 3 of the North-
Eastern Council Act, 1971 (84 of 1971) and in supersession of the notification of the Government of India in the Ministry
of Development of North Eastern Region published in the Gazette of India, Extraordinary, Part II, Section 3, Sub-section
(ii), dated the 29th June 2015, vide number S.O. 1742(E), dated the 29th June, 2015, except as respects things done or
omitted to be done before such supersession, the President hereby nominates Prof. Biman Kumar Dutta (Retd), former
Head and Dean, School of Environmental Sciences, Assam University, Silchar, Assam, as member of the North Eastern
Council, for a period of three years from the date of joining or until further orders, whichever is earlier.
