New Delhi, the 27th January, 2017.
S.O. 302(E).—In exercise of the powers conferred by clause (s) of sub-section (1) of section 2 of the Sports
Broadcasting Signals (Mandatory Sharing with Prasar Bharati) Act, 2007 (11 of 2007) read with sub-rule (1) of rule 6 of
the Sports Broadcast Signals (Mandatory Sharing with Prasar Bharati) Rules, 2007, and in supersession of the
notification of the Government of India in the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting number S.O.1489 (E) dated the
4th July, 2012, the Central Government hereby notifies following events as sporting events of national importance,
namely:-
1.(cid:32) Summer Olympics
2.(cid:32) Commonwealth Games
3.(cid:32) Asian Games
4.(cid:32) Special Olympics
5.(cid:32) Paralympics
6.(cid:32) Events relating to the following sports,-
A.(cid:32) Tennis
a)(cid:32) Davis Cup-All matches featuring India;
b)(cid:32) Grand Slam Tournaments,- Finals of Men’s Singles, Women’s Singles and all matches featuring
Indian player from quarter-finals onwards; and
