S.O. 1543(E).—In exercise of the powers conferred by section 11 of the National Green Tribunal Act, 2010
(19 of 2010) and in pursuance of the Order of the Supreme Court of India, dated the 27th March, 2018 in the Writ Petition
(Civil) No.1235 of 2017, in the matter of NGT Bar Association (Western Zone) Vs. Union of India and Others, the
Central Government hereby authorises Dr. Justice Jawad Rahim, Judicial Member, National Green Tribunal to act as the
Chairperson of the National Green Tribunal, with effect from the 5th April, 2018 until the date on which a new
Chairperson is appointed in accordance with the provisions of the aforesaid Act.
