Mumbai, the 27th March, 2020
F. No. CO:ERD:1073:2020(E).—In exercise of the powers conferred by section 19, read with sub-
section (2) of section 12 of the Banking Companies (Acquisition and Transfer of Undertakings) Act, 1970 (5
of 1970), the Board of Directors of the Union Bank of Indiaafter consultation with the Reserve Bank of India
and with the previous sanction of the Central Government, hereby makes the following regulations further to
amend the Union Bank of India Officer Employees’ (Acceptance of Jobs in Private Sector Concerns After
Retirement) Regulations 2000, namely:–
1. (1) These regulations may be called the Union Bank of India Officer Employees’ (Acceptance of
Jobs in Private Sector Concerns After Retirement) Amendment Regulations, 2020.
(2) They shall come into force with effect from the date of their publication in the Official Gazette.
2. In the Union Bank of India Officer Employees’ (Acceptance of Jobs in Private Sector Concerns After
Retirement) Regulations, 2000,-
(i) in regulation 4, for sub-regulation (6), the following sub-regulation shall be substituted,
namely:–
―6. Every order passed by the Bank under these regulations shall be communicated to the
person concerned.‖;
(ii) after regulation 4, the following regulation shall be inserted, namely:
―5. Competent Authority.- The Competent Authority for granting or refusing permission for taking up
any commercial employment after retirement of officer employee under regulation 4 shall be as given in the
