(1) These rules may be called the Railway Protection Force (Amendment) Rules, 2018. (2) They shall come into force on the date of their publication in the Official Gazette. 2. In the Railway Protection Force Rules, 1987, (hereinafter referred to as the said rules) for the words “Chief Security Commissioner”, wherever they occur, the words “Principal Chief Security Commissioner” shall be substituted. 3. In the said rules, in rule 250, in sub-rule 250.1, for the words “Chief Security Commissioner”, the words “Principal Chief Security Commissioner” shall be substituted. 4. In the said rules, for the word “Additional”, wherever it occurs, the words “Chief Security Commissioner” shall be substituted. 5. In the said rules, in rule 49, sub-rule 49.1, the words “Additional Inspector General” shall be omitted. 6. In the said rules, in rule 78, in sub-rule 78.1, under heading “Superior Officers”, the words “Additional Inspector General” and “Deputy Commandant” and the entries relating thereto under “scale of pay” shall be omitted. 7.
