New Delhi, the 25th September, 2020
S.O. 3310(E).—In exercise of the powers conferred by section 210A of the Motor Vehicles Act, 1988 (59 of
1988), the Central Government hereby laid down the conditions to be taken into consideration by the State
Government for the purposes of specifying a multiplier under Section 210A, namely: -
1. Data collected by the Central Government or State Government or agencies authorised by the Central
Government or State Government, pertaining to road safety, traffic management, offences committed, fines
and penalties levied; or
2. Advice rendered by National Road Safety Board, National Road Safety Council or State Road Safety
Council, either suo moto or on reference made by the Central Government or State Government; or
3. Any other factor as may be specified by the Central Government.
