In exercise of the powers conferred by Section 22C of the Consumer Protection Act, 1986 68 of 1986, the Central Government, in consultation with the National Consumer Disputes Redressal Commission hereby notifies Shimla as the seventeenth place other than New Delhi at which the said Commission shall perform its functions
This notification, S.O. 23(E), issued by the Ministry of Consumer Affairs, Food and Public Distribution, Department of Consumer Affairs, designates Shimla as the seventeenth location, in addition to New Delhi, where the National Consumer Disputes Redressal Commission will perform its functions. This decision, effective January 1, 2016, is made by the Central Government in consultation with the National Consumer Disputes Redressal Commission, exercising powers conferred by Section 22C of the Consumer Protection Act, 1986 (68 of 1986).
