NOTIFICATION
New Delhi, the 30th May, 2019
G.S.R. 395 (E).—In exercise of the powers conferred by section 3 of the Essential Commodities Act,
1955 (10 of 1955), the Central Government hereby makes the following Order further to amend the Motor
Spirit and High Speed Diesel (Regulation of Supply, Distribution and Prevention of Malpractices)
Amendment Order, 2017, namely:-
1. (1) This Order may be called the Motor Spirit and High Speed Diesel (Regulation of Supply,
Distribution and Prevention of Malpractices) Amendment Order, 2019.
(2) It shall come into force on the date of its publication in the Official Gazette.
2. In the Motor Spirit and High Speed Diesel (Regulation of Supply, Distribution and Prevention of
Malpractices) Amendment Order, 2017, for clause 6A, the following clause shall be substituted, namely :-
“6A Limited purpose of direct sale of bio-diesel for blending with high speed diesel.-
The Central Government permits the direct sale of bio-diesel (B-100) for blending with high
speed diesel to all consumers, in accordance with the specified blending limits and the standards
specified by the Bureau of Indian Standards subject to fulfilment of guidelines issued in this regard
vide Notification No. P-13039(18)/1/2018-CC (P-26825), dated 30th April, 2019 published in the
Gazette of India, Extraordinary, Part-I, Section 1 dated 1st May, 2019.”.
