S.O. 27(E).— In exercise of the powers conferred by Section 3 of the Public Premises (Eviction of
Unauthorised Occupants) Act, 1971 (40 of 1971), and in supersession of the following notifications of the Government
of India in the Ministry of Power numbers—
(i) S.O.2650, dated the 12th September, 2001;
(ii) S.O.1258, dated the 27th March, 2002, in so far as it relates to serial number 2 (in the Table therein) and the
entries relating thereto in respect of Dadri Project of NTPC Limited in the State of Uttar Pradesh;
(iii) S.O.481, dated the 3rd February, 2011; and
(iv) S.O. 914(E), dated the 12th March 2014, in so far as it relates to serial number 2 (in the Table therein) and
the entries relating thereto in respect of Dulanga Coal Mining Project of NTPC Limited in the State of
Odisha.
the Central Government hereby appoints the officers mentioned in Column (1) of the Table below, being officers of the
NTPC Limited and equivalent to the rank of Gazetted Officer in the Government of India, to be Estate Officers for the
purposes of the said Act, who shall exercise the powers conferred and perform the duties imposed on Estate Officer by or
under the said Act, within the local limits of their respective jurisdiction in respect of the categories of public premises
specified in the corresponding entry in column (2) of the said Table, namely:-
