NOTIFICATION
New Delhi, the 5th December, 2018
S.O. 6043(E).—In exercise of the powers conferred by Section 3 of the Public Premises (Eviction of
Unauthorised Occupants) Act, 1971 (40 of 1971), and in supersession of the notification of the Government of India, in
the Ministry of Commerce No. S.O. 714 (E) dated the 5th April, 1994, except as respects things done or omitted to be
done before such supersession, the Central Government hereby appoints the officer mentioned in Column (i) of the Table
below, being officer equivalent to the rank of a Gazetted Officer of the Government, to be Estate Officer for the purpose
of the said Act and the said officer shall exercise the powers conferred and perform the duties imposed, on the Estate
Officer by or under the said Act, within the limits of his jurisdiction in respect of the public premises specified in column
(2) of the said Table
