NOTIFICATION
New Delhi, the 13th January, 2026
S.O. 179(E).—In exercise of the powers conferred by section 3 of the Public Premises
(Eviction of Unauthorised Occupants) Act, 1971 (40 of 1971), the Central Government hereby appoints the officers
mentioned in column (1) of the Table below, being officers of the public authority equivalent to the rank of gazetted
officer of the Government of India, to be estate officer for the purposes of the said Act, who shall exercise the powers
conferred and perform the duties imposed on an estate officer by or under the said Act within the local limits of the
jurisdiction in respect of the public premises specified in column (2) of the said Table, namely: -
