द्वारा प्रदत्त िजक्तयों का प्रयोग करत े हुए, भारतीय मानक ब्यूरो जनयम, 2018 का और संिोधन करन े के जलए जनम्नजलजखत
जनयम बनाती ह,ै अथावत ् –
1. (1) इन जनयमों का संजिप्त नाम भारतीय मानक ब्यूरो (दसू रा संिोधन) जनयम, 2020 ह।ै
(2) ये रािपत्र म ें प्रकािन की तारीख से प्रर्ृत्त होंगे।
2. भारतीय मानक ब्यूरो जनयम, 2018 (जिन्हें इसम ें इसके पश्च ात ् उक्त जनयम कहा गया ह)ै के, जनयम 3 के, उप-
जनयम (1) म,ें व्याख्या म,ें उत्तर (1) िोन के अधीन, क्रम संख्या 8 के पश्चात,् जनम्नजलजखत क्रम संख्या और प्रजर्जि को िोडा
िाएगा, अथावत:् –
“9. लद्दाख”;
3. उक्त जनयमों म,ें जनयम 37 के, उप-जनयम (1) म,ें िब्द, कोष्ठक और अंक “उपखंड (4)” के पश्चात् िब्द, कोष्ठक और
अंक “या उपखंड (5)” अंत:स्ट् थाजपत दकया िाएगा;
4. उक्त जनयमों म,ें जनयम 45 के, उप-जनयम (1) म,ें िब्द “नौ” के स्ट् थान पर िब्द “आठ” रखा िाएगा।

NOTIFICATION
New Delhi, the 16th September, 2020
G.S.R. 559(E).—In exercise of the powers conferred by section 38 of the Bureau of Indian
Standards Act, 2016 (11 of 2016), the Central Government hereby makes the following rules further to
amend the Bureau of Indian Standards Rules, 2018, namely:-
1. (1) These rules may be called the Bureau of Indian Standards (Second Amendment) Rules, 2020.
(2) They shall come into force on the date of their publication in the Official Gazette.
2. In the Bureau of Indian Standards Rules, 2018 (herein after referred to as said rules), in rule 3, in
sub-rule (1), in the Explanation, under North (1) zone, after serial number 8, the following serial number
and entry shall be added, namely:-
“9. Ladakh”;
3. In the said rules, in rule 37, in sub-rule (1), after the word, brackets and figure “sub-section (4)”,
the words, brackets and figure “or sub-section (5)” shall be inserted;
4. In the said rules, in rule 45, in sub-rule (1), for the word “nine”, the word “eight” shall be
substituted.
