NOTIFICATION
New Delhi, the 15th January, 2018
S.O. 263(E).—In exercise of the powers conferred by section 4 of the Tobacco Board Act, 1975 (4 of
1975), read with rules 3 and 4 of the Tobacco Board Rules, 1976, the Central Government hereby appoints the
following person to be the member of the Tobacco Board for a period of three years from the date of
publication of this notification in the Official Gazette or till he ceases to be a Member of the Rajya Sabha,
whichever is earlier, and for that purpose, makes the following further amendments in the notification of the
Government of India in the erstwhile Ministry of Commerce (Tobacco Industry Development Control) number
S.O. 5417, dated the 17th December, 1975, namely:—
In the said notification, under the heading, “appointed under clause (b) of sub-section (4) of section 4”,
for serial number 4 and the entries relating thereto, the following serial number and entries shall be substituted,
namely:—
“ 4 Shri R. K. Sinha, Member of Parliament, Elected by Rajya Sabha.”
