NOTIFICATION
New Delhi, the 23rd March, 2018
F. No. S-Admn/II/XI/2012—In exercise of the powers conferred by section 61 of the Petroleum and Natural
Gas Regulatory Board Act, 2006 (Act 19 of 2006), the Petroleum and Natural Gas Regulatory Board hereby makes the
following regulations, namely: –
1. Short title and commencement: -
(1) These regulations may be called the Petroleum and Natural Gas Regulatory Board (Appointment of
Consultants) Amendment Regulations, 2018.¹Hkkx IIIµ[k.M 4º Hkkjr dk jkti=k % vlk/kj.k 3
(2) These regulations shall come into force on the date of their publication in the Official Gazette.
2. In the Petroleum and Natural Gas Regulatory Board (Appointment of Consultants) Regulations, 2007, -
(a) in regulation 17, in sub-regulation (6), -
(i) in clause (a), the following proviso shall be added, namely: -
“Provided that the Board in its discretion may extend the period for engagement of an individual consultant
beyond three years”;
(ii) in clause (c), in sub-clause (ii), for the year “2012”, the year “2018” shall be substituted;
(iii) in clause (j), after the words “obtain approval of”, for the word “Board”, the word “Chairperson” shall be
substituted;
(b) for Schedule III, the following shall be substituted, namely: -
