NOTIFICATION
New Delhi, the 30th September, 2016
S.O. 3097(E).—In exercise of the powers conferred by section 7 of the National Highways Act, 1956 (48 of
1956), read with Rule 3 of the National Highways Fee (Determination of Rates and Collection) Rules, 2008 published
vide G.S.R. 838(E) dated 5th December, 2008 and subsequent amendments (the “said Rules”), the Central Government,
vide notification S.O. 346(E), dated 4th February, 2015 has notified that there shall be levied and collected fees on
mechanical vehicles for the use of Nellore Bypass section from km 178.200 – km 161.034 (New Chainage from km
1366.547 to km 1383.713) on the National Highway No. 5 in the State of Andhra Pradesh (the “said section”), and has
authorized the Authority to collect, either through its officials or through a contractor, the said fee.
Now, in exercise of the powers conferred by section 7 of the National Highways Act, 1956 (48 of 1956), read
with rule 3 of the National Highways Fee (Determination of Rates and Collection) Rules, 2008, the Central Government
hereby amend the notification S.O. 346(E), dated 4th February, 2015 and the para 10 of notes shall be substituted as
follows:
The capital cost of the project is Rupees 123.24 Crore as on 31.03.2016. The Authority shall maintain a record
of the recovery of capital cost through user fee realized and after recovery of the capital cost, the fee leviable shall be
reduced to 40% of the rates and shall be revised annually in accordance with the said rules.
