NOTIFICATION
New Delhi, the 17th January, 2017
S.O. 167(E).— In exercise of the powers conferred by section 8A of the National Highways Act, 1956 (48 of
1956), read with rule 3 of the National Highways (Collection of Fees by any person for the use of section of National
Highways/Permanent Bridge/Temporary Bridge on National Highways) Rules, 1997, the Central Government authorized
the Concessionaires of following BOT (Toll) Projects mentioned in Table-1 for levy and collection of user fee wherein
the fee shall be rounded off to nearest rupee.
Now, considering problem of change/shortage of coins and inconvenience to the users due to delays at Fee
Plazas in transactions on account of change, the Central Government hereby makes the following amendment in the
notifications of BOT (Toll) Projects mentioned in Table-1:
“The fee shall be rounded off and levied in multiple of the nearest Rs.5/- instead of nearest rupee.”
