NOTIFICATION
New Delhi, the 1st April, 2016
NO. 46/2016-CUSTOMS (N.T.)
S.O. 1294(E).—In exercise of the powers conferred by sections 157 and 158 of the Customs Act, 1962 (52 of
1962), the Central Board of Excise and Customs hereby makes the following regulations further to amend the Customs
(Fees For Rendering Services by Customs Officers) Regulations, 1998, namely:-
1. (1) These regulations may be called the Customs (Fees for Rendering Services by Customs Officers) Amendment
Regulations, 2016.
(2)They shall come into force on the date of their publication in the Official Gazette.
2. In regulation 3, after the Table, the following proviso shall be inserted, namely:-
“Provided that where the working hours in respect of clearance of cargo in Customs ports or Customs airports,
has been prescribed as twenty- four hours on all days for customs clearance, no fee shall be leviable in such
locations for the services rendered by the category of officers mentioned in column (1) of the Table.”
