जम. स.ं 2-5/2019(ओएल).—जिश्वजिद्यालय अनुदान आयोग अजधजनयम, 1956 (1956 का तीसरा) की
धारा 26 की उप-धारा (1) के साथ पठठत धारा 12 के खंड (ञ) द्वारा प्रदत्त िजियों का प्रयोग करत े हुए
जिश्वजिद्यालय अनुदान आयोग, जिश्वजिद्यालय अनुदान आयोग (ऑनलाइन पाठ्यक्रम अथिा काययक्रम) जिजनयम,
2018 में संिोधन करते हुए जनम्नित जिजनयम बनाता ह,ै नामत:
1. लघ ुिीर्कय और प्रारंभ-
(1) इन जिजनयमों को जिश्वजिद्यालय अनुदान आयोग (ऑनलाइन पाठ्यक्रम अथिा काययक्रम)
संिोधन जिजनयम, 2020 कहा जाएगा।
(2) िे आजधकाठरक राजपत्र में उनके प्रकािन की जतजथ स ेप्रभािी होंगे।
2. जिश्वजिद्यालय अनुदान आयोग (ऑनलाइन पाठ्यक्रम अथिा काययक्रम) जिजनयम, 2018 के जिजनयम
2 के उप-जिजनयम (2) म ें जनम्नित परंतुक को अंत:स्ट्थाजपत दकया जाएगा, नामत:-
“बित े दक जिश्वजिद्यालय अनदु ान आयोग, आदेि द्वारा, इंददरा गांधी राष्ट्रीय मुि जिश्वजिद्यालय,
जोदक इंददरा गाधं ी राष्ट्रीय मिु जिश्वजिद्यालय अजधजनयम, 1985 (1985 का 50िां) के तहत
स्ट्थाजपत एक जिश्वजिद्यालयह,ै को उि अजधजनयम के प्रयोजनों को ध्यान म ें रखत े हुए इन जिजनयमों
के लाग ूहोन े से छूट प्रदान कर सकता ह।ै ”

New Delhi, the 17th January, 2020
F. No. 2-5/2019 (OL).—In exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (1) of section 26
read with clause (j) of section 12 of the University Grants Commission Act, 1956 (3 of 1956), the
University Grants Commission hereby makes the following regulations to amend the University
Grants Commission (Online Courses or Programmes) Regulations, 2018, namely:-
1. Short title and commencement. –
(1) These regulations may be called the University Grants Commission (Online Courses
or Programmes) Amendment Regulations, 2020.
(2) They shall come into the force on the date of their publication in the Official Gazette.
2. In the University Grants Commission (Online Courses or Programmes) Regulations, 2018, in
regulation 2, in sub-regulation (2), the following proviso shall be inserted, namely:-
“Provided that the University Grants Commission may, by order, exempt the Indira
Gandhi National Open University, a university established under the Indira Gandhi
National Open University Act, 1985 (50 of 1985), from the application of these
regulations, considering the objectives of the said Act”.
