7th June, 2019 G.S.R. 412(E).—In exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (1) of section 3 of the All India Services Act, 1951 (61 of 1951), the Central Government, herby makes the following rules further to amend the All India Services (Death-Cum-Retirement-Benefits) Rules, 1958, namely :- 1 (i) These rules may be called the All India Services (Death-Cum-Retirement-Benefits) Amendment Rules, 2019. (ii) They shall be come into force from the date of their publication in the official Gazette. 2. In the All India Services (Death-Cum-Retirement-Benefits) Rules, 1958 in rule 16, after the first proviso under sub- rule 1A, the following proviso shall be inserted, namely :- “provided also that notwithstanding anything contained in sub-rule (1A), the Central Government may, if it considers necessary in public interest to do so, give an extension in service for a further period, not exceeding three months, beyond the period of four years to the Cabinet Secretary ” [F.No. 24012/03/2019-AIS-II] KHUSHBOO GOEL CHOWDHARY, Dy.
